No, the guy bringing Hitler and Stalin into this conversation is the idiot. The guy that thinks the solution is to just tax those damn rich people more is the idiot. Redistribute all that wealth Wally - the rich guys don't need it anyway, am I right?

IDGAF how much money Bezos has. IDGAF how much more he makes than a warehouse worker at Amazon. If that worker doesn't think he gets paid enough, he should get the skills needed to get a better paying job. Hell, who is stopping him form starting his own company and making billions?

Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy.

You are blind to the risks of the possible endgame if this inequality keeps going as it has. All those guns in America might be put to use. Thats why I support the right to bear arms, if it keeps going for another 20 years as the last 40 have, I think there will be blood in the streets, don't say I didn't warn you.

Its not jealousy, I honestly don't want to be a billionaire or super rich, it would probably destroy me, I have enough self awareness to understand that.

I don't really give a shit about money as I have enough to be comfortable and meet my needs. My family could live our current lifestyle for at least 5 years and probably many more than that with zero income.

I also know that I am in the tax bracket that would likely get fucked the hardest by tax increases. The mega rich can buy loopholes and pay people to protect them from taxes, I really can't.

Spoof says the following is great for America, anyone who disagrees is jealous, even if they want to pay more taxes than they currently pay.

The top 1% now own more wealth than the bottom 92%, and the 50 wealthiest Americans own more wealth than the bottom half of American society – 165 million people.

Over the past 40 years there has been a massive transfer of wealth from the middle class and working families to the very wealthiest people in America.

In 1978, the top 0.1% owned about 7% of the nation’s wealth. In 2019, the latest year of data available, they own nearly 20%.

Unbelievably, the two richest people in America, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, now own more wealth than the bottom 40% of Americans combined.

If income inequality had not skyrocketed over the past four decades and had simply stayed static, the average worker in America would be earning $42,000 more in income each year. Instead, as corporate chief executives now make over 300 times more than their average employees, the average American worker now earns $32 a week less than he or she did 48 years ago – after adjusting for inflation. In other words, despite huge increases in technology and productivity, ordinary workers are actually losing ground.

Spoof says I don’t give a f@ck if the rich get richer legally. Spoof says that those that say things like “they don’t need that much” and “they won’t notice if we tax them more” to justify their socialist taxing ideas are jealous. Spoof says good for Jeff and Elon. Spoof doesn’t think Jeff and Elon need to pay more so those that aren’t as successful can pay less or have more handouts. Spoof also thinks you aren’t smart enough to understand.

I could have sworn they outlawed indentured servitude a long time ago. If it's so terrible at Amazon, if I'm not mistaken there are plenty of other jobs available somewhere else if they choose; Shit, they could even go and get some of those great union gigs and laugh at Bezos all the way to their new great job

Bezos doesn’t need all that money. The government should force him to give 33% of what he has to his employees, another 33% to the gov’t to help fund programs, and he can keep the other 33% (taxed again at a higher rate, of course). He won’t even notice and it is only fair.

Oh, and also, when he dies, his estate should get $1M (taxed) and then the government should get all of the rest. They will know what to do with it to make America better. This only makes sense.

New Zealand is raising its minimum wage to $20 an hour and increasing the top tax rate for the country’s highest earners to 39%.

Look what this shithole country is doing.

They should charge every billionaire who bought citizenship also.

As you know, Spoof doesn't have the balls to take stances affirming any position first.

He cowardly waits for others to take positions, then tries to think of how he can throw peanuts.

Broke's too damn stupid to understand basic economics. The real question is, do the lefties understand that the Dem party wants to destroy small business and they just accept this and/or support that concept? Or do they just not get what is really going on?

Name a single instance where something that a person would normally buy on Amazon could be purchased in-person at a local small retail store?

There is no such thing anymore. In-person retail locations for regular items are all large businesses.

Small retail is all boutique and specialty items. And that's just fine.

Which small retail stores selling regular items were destroyed, in the last 10 years? I'll hang up and listen.

(guarantee you'll list a bunch of shops that were selling boutique/specialty items)

You calling other people "stupid" is so very precious.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if Spenser Morgan would care to tell everyone how much he got in PPP loan(s) and if they were already forgiven. I know the first round of them, many of those business owners already received letters that the loans were forgiven, and many are in the process of getting their second bite at the apple.

It's fantastic, and I know the PPP loans saved a ton of businesses, but for Broke's stupid asinine post, we should at least know the full context, yes? I commend small business owners like Mr. Morgan, they make the world go around and are what built this country, but we don't have all the facts here, to say the least.

Zero growth doesn't come close to meaning zero profits or even translate to overall revenue losses. Mr. Morgan may be a saint that took massive losses for the year and still gave raises to his employees but we don't know 30% of the story here
