I suppose you start hammering away at someone.... otherwise I'm not sure you want to get into a bro fight like that.

Yeah, I get that but I guess I would rather see the majority AT LEAST verbally discouraging it, instead of yukking it up and recording it. It's kind of a sad statement on the human condition.

I'd feel that way if it wasn't a bunch of dorks who wanted to fight.... but they were all willing participants.

I feel worse for the folks trying to pee.

I did read that Spencer Jones is lucky to have not lost his eye. Recovering from surgery.

I work with a bunch of former D1 wrestlers. Some of the calmest and most unassuming guys. They are not big guys. However, if you tried to fight them, you'd be very very injured. Thats what happened here.

That and the eye thing could just be happenstance... guy happens to land a hand or finger in the right place ... they're all drinking so who knows.

MMA beats towel boy every time! Some times a punch in the face is one of life's great lessons. Remember people it is not nice to rubber neck at the urinal.

Great point, I though I figured that out back in High School (age 16-17), when I was starting to get bigger and much stronger, and thought I was sort of tough. At a giant outdoor keg party at a farm I saw a couple relatively decent local HS wrestlers absolutely destroy a couple of bigger, older guys with big mouths who had somewhat intimidating reputations.

I try to remember that lesson when I get close to a loud, explosive situation that could escalate, even though I have not always done a great job of completely avoiding possible ensnarement.

The downside is pretty high regardless of what happens, especially with cell phone cameras and social media, beyond the legal and physical dangers of getting involved too much.

The thing to never for forget is you never know who you are dealing with for sure, whether a wrestler, someone ready to snap, or a gang banger with nothing to lose.

Youth and inexperience, paired with too much alcohol and lots of testosterone.

If they have weird ears, WALK AWAY! Thats a motto to live by.

In a tv or movie bar fight, guys stand there and trade haymakers. This is what a real bar fight looks like - a quick clinch and then grappling on the ground in a pool of someone else's urine.

Have to think there will be some charges filed on this though with the video evidence.

Really not so much better than the Philip Nelson situation. The other dude slammed that guy's head into the wall and the guy is clearly laying there out cold and the blond dude is hammering at his face at least 6-7 more times. I don't see a whole lot more difference between beating an unconcious guy with your fists and kicking one who is down. The kick is a level up for sure, but this is still pretty malicious for a bar fight.

ADDITIONAL: If you'll remember, the victim in the Nelson thing came up and shoved him from behind. So he definitely was instigating. Nelson's buddy knocked him out from the side and then Phil kicked him in the head when he was down. I guess I don't believe that if you VERBALLY pick a fight, that automatically waives all your rights and you are free to get stomped into the ground (even when you're unconcious). There has to be some accountability for aggravated injury when it's clear it's not self-defense anymore.

I don't know I've seen a lot of fights throughout the years this one was pretty weak in my opinion. Not saying I condone it but it was a glorified wrestling match.

Terrible behavior but I would be surprised if anything comes of it.
