Although, I expected something that would result in years of sanctions. I can't imagine any other reason why Carroll would resign his position running the most dominant college football program of the past decade. Way too good of a gig to give up just to go coach the Seahawks.
The NCAA's penalty for Miami (FL) pretty much demonstarted that they never intend to issue the death penalty to any school ever again. If ever their was an athletic program that was deserving of elimination by the NCAA, that was it.
