Why I don't boo at Gopher football games

I will boo officials and the opposing team but I have never and will not boo a Gopher player or coach ever. I will get frustrated with a player who might do something mentally dumb, like hit a guy 5 yards out of bounds, and might yell "what are you doing!" But booing is something a little bit worse. I don't know why I don't do it. I can't really explain it other than it just doesn't feel right.

Those of you who are fine with booing, let me ask you this. What does your booing accomplish? Do you think if you boo them they will play better?
The same thing that cheering does: nothing.

It's just a cathartic expression of emotion that has no impact on the game.
