Love and hate with Thursday night games! It was great because we got Gopher football early, but now it seems like it was forever ago that we’ve seen our Gophers play!

This week is going by SOOO slow!

Having watched all of these other teams play on Friday, Sat & Sun (like LSU and FSU), can’t help but wonder how we fair against teams like them. They both were pass happy teams. I envisioned us running right through them and overpower them with POT. Man…just want to see our Gophs play again. C’MON pregame presser! C’MON Saturday! This week is going by too slow!

The wait is going to continue until kickoff of the Colorado game, and maybe until the MSU game.

Western Illinois by all indications will be like a scrimmage but if they gave away tickets to it with frozen pizzas. Judging from their class and recent results WIU might be the weakest opponent in modern Gopher history.

If anything interesting happens over the next couple weeks it’s most likely very bad. But the meaningful football will come in the Big Ten as it always does.

Don't forget GT vs Clemson tonight. Pulling for the Wramblin Wreck myself...

Not much of significance to what in the Big Ten this week, except Iowa/Iowa State. Iowa games are almost unwatchable though. It's like going back 100 years when the forward pass was new to the game.

My brother watched the Hogeye/Rabbit game. He said it was the worst football game he ever saw!

Serious question: does Kirk ever fire his son?

Can’t argue too much with Iowa’s overall results. Brutal offensive games at times.

Be strong - you can power through it - thoughts & prayers.

Iowa’s defense is as good as advertised. And Petras is as bad as advertised.
Iowa's defense is going to be plenty good again but the odds of them getting anywhere near the number of turnovers as they had last year are near zero.

That will make them a Miinesota-good defense and needing the offense to score touchdowns to win.

If he did fire his son you have to think he would make a play for Sanford. It's just Ferentz football.
