It would be fun to see Iowa State win again.
 

Sun Belt crowns co-champions, title game called off due to COVID-19

A highly anticipated rematch between No. 12 Coastal Carolina and No. 19 Louisiana in the Sun Belt Championship Game has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test in the Coastal Carolina program, the Sun Belt announced Thursday night. One of the Chanticleers' entire position groups would have been unavailable for the game "due to possible exposure," according to the league's announcement.

"We are very disappointed that the championship game cannot be played, but we are so proud of all of the players and staff members and their hard work during this truly challenging season," Sun Belt commissioner Keith Gill said in a release. "We will honor both teams as 2020 Sun Belt Conference Co-Champions."

The designation of "co-champions" may not sit well with some Coastal Carolina fans considering the undefeated Chanticleers handed Louisiana its only loss of the season. Coastal Carolina won 30-27 on Oct. 14 in a road game against a Ragin' Cajuns team ranked No. 21 at the time. The performance was a signal that a Chanticleers team picked to finish last in the conference was legit, and they continued to impress throughout a season that included a thrilling victory over a BYU that was ranked No. 13 at the time.

The Big 12 Championship game is a nice uniform matchup. Although the game is not so great. OU up 17-0.
 

Iowa State coach is a total tool. Should've been ejected.

If anyone can, it's them.
Good, disciplined football team.

I'm torn.
Would like OSU to knock off a ACC or SEC team.
Would also like the Big Ten West to gain some respect that OSU isn't this dominant Big Ten team anymore.

We open vs OSU next year (and hopefully meet them in December again).

Disappointed in Iowa State, but not surprised that OU is going to win. They’ll be NY6, but not CFP.

What do u have against NW- class coach, class program, great school.
 

Well, was a pretty lame series after the pick. But I still think the blatant talent difference is going to win out for OSU in the end.

All true.

Above all, the Big Ten must be in the playoff and ideally the Rose Bowl. NW winning ruins that.

The loss to MSU was pathetic though. Tough to be perfect, true.
 

Northwestern D has done everything they can to keep them in this.

Haha, I don't think you understand how this works. TV ratings will dictate it, as much as anything.



If OU was sitting at 1-loss to Iowa State, I'd put them in. But ain't gonna happen with two losses. And the SEC teams all lost to Bama already (and some to each other), none of them deserve it.

Cincy sure as hell doesn't deserve it.
