This game was lost in the trenches. No where else, when they needed it they
went to the large tailback Clay, and used there huge O-line to dominate our
front. That was a true pounding the rock, as they ran the same play over and over again
and said stop it, and the Gophers could not. The Gophers got whipped in the trenches.

We could not take advantage of the middle of the Badgers defensive line because that was the weakest part of there front 7. Brewster as coach of the Gophers is now 0-7 in trophy games, he got this job because he is supposed to be a big time recruiter. If he is who he is said to be may I suggest recruiting big time offensive lineman. Starting out by landing the big one in our backyard and defensive lineman that are big enough to stop the run but can also rush the passer a little bit.
The Gophers need to build some depth and start to build on that. Decker elevates this team
without him where would Weber be as a QB? I still don't understand why the QB has been so coached to stay back instead of taking off and running once in a while. As a Freshman Weber ran to much, now he doesn't let his football instincts kick in and take off when he needs too.
