US to pull out of Syria + Turkey to invade Syria?

Can we simply recall these "Republican" leaders and replace them with real Republicans! Trump is about as Republican as a fly is a dinosaur. Moscow Mitch is a corrupt little tool of oligarchs of all nationalities and could care less about Americans or the rule of law. L. Graham is one of the great chameleons of our day. And, talk about forked tongues. He says one thing one day and the opposite the next, depending on the news cycle and audience.

I am going back into the Republican circuit to rid us of these rats and vermin.

You, Justin Amash and Rick Wilson are going to form a whole party all by yourselves?

Kind of seems like Trump realizes we have been arming some bad groups over there the last few years and he's letting Turkey clean up the mess.

Speaking of these bad groups they have been killing innocent Turks for years but none of you have been posting pictures of the injured or dead Turkish children/citizens.

This area has been at war since the beginning of time. We have the greatest military in the history of the world (maybe) and we can't even come close to policing this area. Get our troops out of harms way.

Both great points.

Some other thoughts:

- No one thinks these Kurds are the good guys. These are not the same Kurds as in Iraq. They didn't fight with us per se, rather they fought for us as mercenaries.
- This either unites the Kurds into Syria, creating more stability/one less problem, or they go on record as choosing to go it alone.
- Due to Turkey's attack, it's exposed Turkey/Erdogan as the thugs they are. That's politically convenient for Trump, as Turkey has been working to sabotage Saudi Arabia & make Trump look bad domestically.
- It drags Russia further into the fray.
- It exposes NATO as the impotent, waste of money it is. Not only is the aggressor Turkey a founding member of NATO, but NATO actually appears to be coordinating with Turkey, or at the very least tacitly supporting Turkey by not condemning this.
- There will never be a good time to pull out of Syria. Trump may as well begin the process right now.

NATO did try to act against this though, the US and Russia blocked it

I agree with everything you said but the bold parts. We are on the same page, not trying to start an argument.

Not arguing, just discussing & learning.

- I think it's more of a political opportunity to attack Trump, than an ideological belief that this Kurd group are solid citizens.

- I stand corrected on NATO. It was the UN who pledged to collaborate with Turkey on this.

UN ready for close cooperation with Turkey on Syria operation:

- I believe (?) what Trump is talking about in reference to crushing Turkey's economy is from when they were buying the oil that ISIS was stealing in Syria. Turkey made a LOT of money from that for a while.

Russia unveils 'proof' Turkey's Erdogan is smuggling Isis oil across border from Syria
