Currently I have 24 teams at least marginally on the bubble, 11 of which were projected into this week's Field of 68. Here's a look (in NET order) at teams that need to get busy living or get busy dying in the 20 days leading up to Selection Sunday. I'll update this more frequently once conference tournaments start next Tuesday.

I can count to 9 (Rut, RI, USU, plus 47-53) with teams I would have in today if I exclude Purdue & Minnesota. Finding 2 more is tough.

Purdue and Gophers will need to be 2 games over .500 at end of the regular season to remain on this list. That would give them a window to the NCAA if they bag at least 2 wins in Indy vs. teams not named Nebraska or Northwestern.

For my latest reshuffle today I dropped a few teams from "lock/near-lock" status and moved them to the bubble. They're highly likely to return to "lock" status soon, but for now that's what we'll do.

So as of Wednesday, I have 30 teams jostling for 16 available at-large bids. Most of those are listed at the top of this thread. Now here's a look at the 29 teams I have with lock/near-lock status, meaning they've either locked up a bid no matter what happens the rest of the season, or they're a lock barring a late-season meltdown of epic proportions.

The 29 locks/near locks (by conference) are:

ACC (3): Duke, Florida State, Louisville

Atlantic 10 (1): Dayton

Big East (5): Butler, Creighton, Marquette, Seton Hall, Villanova

Big Ten (8): Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin

Big XII (3): Baylor, Kansas, West Virginia

Mountain West (1): San Diego State

Pac 12 (3): Arizona, Colorado, Oregon

SEC (3): Auburn, Kentucky, LSU

WCC (2): BYU, Gonzaga
