I am not remotely close to this situation but it has been my understanding from day one he was Stanford bound and that his recruitment wasn't an option.

Still is listed as a soft verbal to Stanford. Got moved up to a 3* lately.

That is my understanding as well. I also was under the impression that the U didn't show a whole lot of interest, so that could play a role.
However, the couple games I have seen him play, he really stood out to me more than Okuyemi (DLineman for Wayzata).
To be honest, I'd rather have Tarpley than Allen or Okuyemi.
