Student tickets require ID's this year?

I'm not sure if they required student ID's last year or not. I understand that they sold some companion tickets for adults in the student section this year, which would lead me to believe that they don't care who is sitting there. Anyone heard any official word on this?

They required ID's last year but I think they weren't looking at photos so much as just confirming you had an ID. I'm guessing (hoping) the companion tickets look slightly different and thus won't need a student ID to go with them.
