per Joe:

Gophers coach Jerry Kill gave more hints Tuesday that the Gophers are ready to pull a potential redshirt from true freshman Tyler Moore to play left guard.

Kill was talking about the need for more offensive line continuity. Starting left guard Jon Christenson will miss at least two more games recovering from knee surgery. Joe Bjorklund has bone-on-bone in his surgically repaired knee and is only able to practice once a week, Kill said.

"Tyler Moore, for instance, he's backup center right now," Kill said. "We may have to play him somewhere else. He may have to learn two positions. Do I want to do that with a freshman? No, but I've got no choice."

As for starting quarterback, there are no hints of a coming change. Asked on the Big Ten teleconference if he's evaluating the QB's differently this week, Kill said, "I’m not going to make a -- we have enough media here that comments on the quarterback. And right now, our issue ... we’re not playing as good of offense as we’d certainly like to, and a lot of that has to do with where we’re at up front on the offensive line."
