Simoni Lawrence has signed as a FA to the St. Louis Rams and BPT has been added to the San Diego Chargers! Congrats to both of you!

Lee Campbell just got signed by NYG.

Also, not to slam, but I saw nothing from BPT all year that had me thinking he was an NFL type prospect. I'm kind of astounded he got a chance. Perhaps they're bringing him in for special teams, but if it's for corner...watch out.

No idea but SL said he received a very good deal

Good deal? An undrafted free agent contract in the NFL is not a financial windfall. The real value is that it gives them a 1 in 150 shot to make a roster.

"And, unlike the old days, there's very little financial bidding involved. Prices can range from a $25,000 signing bonus for a quarterback in demand down to $3,000 or, on rare occasions, lower. The salary cap -- including a maximum amount for rookies -- has changed how much teams can pay free agents."

"Had scouts known what Parker and Harrison would accomplish as pros, they would have drafted them in the first or second rounds, earning them gobs of signing-bonus money. Instead, they received pittances to sign with the Steelers as free-agent rookies, although they since have signed much larger contracts."

wrong, practice squad players make $5200 a week.
Doubtful, do you have a link? For how many weeks? 52 weeks = $270,400 and that is nearly the minimum salary of a first year, opening day roster player. It doesn't make since to pay a bunch of undrafted free agents 80% of such.

Sorry, my good fellow, that is what they make if they earn a spot on a practice squad.

"If they don't make the team then they can sign on the practice squad for minimum $5,200 per week for up to 17 weeks, or $88,400 a year, although they can be paid more."

Hardly the kind of money to get busted up for or boast with $$$$ signs over.
