Unfortunately Dom Alford, Traye Simmons, Nate Tripplett, Simoni Lawrence, and Adam Weber were all cut today. Former Gophers thought to be on roster bubbles that did make their respective teams: Logan Payne (Jets) Tramaine Brock (49ers) Marcus Sherels (Vikings). Hopefully the guys cut today will find a way on to a practice squad and eventually on to a 53 man roster.

Wow. You said it "Tough day for the former gophers." Not surprised about Sherels, he had one heck of preseason. I think that some of these guys will get picked up by some other teams.
