And the lack of understanding/communication between the two stories is where things fell apart. Wrights camp felt that Pitino told him to hold off on his commitment only to accept Jelly's while he went on his Dayton visit. Wright was under the understanding that he has priority with the spot and he didn't get a phone call and saw Jelly committed on twitter. I'm not saying either side is lying or being truthful, but that is what the angst was.

What's always clear in the recruiting game is that if you don't commit, don't be surprised if someone that's more highly rated than you commits first.
