Go Gophers!!

I am a huge Fitzgerald admirer and have a lot of respect for him - but at this point, that’s too high.

I am very nervous about what Bart may do/be doing down in C-U.

These rankings are kinda silly - yet here I am commenting on them. How many days until kickoff? 78, 79? Guess I need it to come pronto. 😂👍🏈

Fitzgerald is an interesting case.
Everyone assumes he is great because he wins big at northwestern.

EXCEPT
2 of the last 3 northwestern coaches won a big ten title…
Fitzgerald is the one who hasn’t

Fitzgerald
Under .500 in conference
Fitzgerald 3 or fewer conference wins in 8/16 seasons
Fitzgerald won the west twice but finished with 5 losses one of those two seasons and only 7 wins in the other. His two big ten west titles got him 16 wins…meanwhile Ron zook had 13 wins his last two years at Illinois.

By the way Fitzgerald is 13-20 his last three seasons

Randy walker had 3 or fewer wins in just 3 of 9 seasons plus a big ten title
Gary Barnett bad two conference titles but lost more than walker
