PJ really, really likes this team. Enthusiasm comes across loud and clear in this interview with Grimm and Darrell from Indy.

Some bits from PJ:

Kaliakmanis leadership has gone through the roof...he got some great experience last year...Cole Kramer competing right with him...Harbaugh and Simon creating offense to fit...it is going to be a lot of fun...we can be a really balanced offense...we will always hang our hat on ability to run the ball

We've recruited at a really high level, great young people on and off the field...so excited about this team, love coming to work, very opportunistic schedule

Team has worked incredibly hard, meshed together really well, player-led at every position, nobody rowing in opposite direction, can tell a positive story about every player,

Running backs kind of unknown but when I look at the four guys I get really excited...and same about o line

Having 7th year CAB and 6th year BSF helps transition the offense...Daniel Jackson might be least talked about top wr in nation...likes the transfer WRs...

6th year guy like Boe helps...one of smartest on team, on and off field...selfless...has played all spots on line...worked close with JMS...he and famiily love Gopher football more than anyone...perfect guy to touch the ball every play

Cody L may be one of top three linebackers he has ever had, and he has three years eligibility left....taken over MSM leadership role....runs, hits, intelligent, gym rat, loves football, great person, MN kid, family at most practices, Rossi has done great work with him

Loves his D-line...loves what Coach Winston has done...Winston played great for us 2017, 18, 19...no slight to Winston, but no comparison physically to the length, strength, size, speed Joyner, JLR and Smith bring to that position....loves interior dline, long, strong stout...havent always been that..mentions Baugh, Eastern, Richter, Jefferies, McCoy and Becker...we can rotate 8-9 guys on dline...Rossi happy with improvements

Loves his nickel backs...this Jack Henderson young man from SE Louisiana this guy has taken team by storm...also Craig McDonald from Auburn...we are big, long, fast, can hit and can run at nickel....it has been a tough spot for us at times, sometimes we are fitting a square peg in round hole...not this year

Obviously loves pre-season AllBig, projected high draft pick Nubin at safety and his being a 5th year leader....but sounded very high on Darius Green...likes game experience Green has already and thinks he will be solid strong safety....sounds confident in Bryson and Gousby as back ups...Gousby has skills to play corner, but they want him at safety

Sings praise for Walley at cb...huge plays in huge games...knack for position...can hit, run, cover, great instincts...never visited MN before signing (covid)...great relationship...mom hated PJ for taking him out of Mississippi...loves MN now...matching Maroon cowbell for Justin and his brother at Miss State

Brought in tranfers Tyler Bride and Trevon Jones after spring to compete at corner...both have tons of snaps at previous stops...Bride well coached at Georgia Southern: tough, hard nosed, feels like he has been in our program ten years...more depth from Rhyland Kelly, Tariq Watson, Victor Pless frosh Zaquan Bryan...sounds very happy with the Nick Monroe hire and work he is doing with corners

Says it will be fun to watch WMU transferSelig, Mav, Dev, late transfer Rowan (Miami of Ohio) battle for lb spot next to Cody

CrAB, BSF, and Tyler Nubin returning to the team speak volumes. Selflessness abounds. I don't get the negative fixations by a few anonymous malcontents. The NFL/Pros have to wait. Gopher Football is fun to watch.
