Gophers cornerback Eric Murray and Texas Christian wide receiver Josh Doctson showed mutual respect before one snap during TCU's 23-17 victory Thursday night, shaking hands across the line of scrimmage before going at each other on the play.
"I've never seen (that) in college football," Gopher coach Jerry Kill said.
As expected, Doctson and Murray, a pair of top NFL prospects, had huge impacts on Thursday's close game.
Doctson had eight reception for 74 yards and one touchdown. His score, an 11-yard slant route, came in front of the Gophers' other cornerback, Briean Boddy-Calhoun, in the first quarter.
Murray had eight tackles, an interception and forced a fumble.
"He's a good player locked up against good people," Kill said.
