The Good?: Unless Iowa pulls off a stunner in the other semifinal of the CBE Classic, the re-tooled Panthers will find out exactly where they're at if they take on Texas, one of the preseason favorites to cut down the nets in April.
The (not so) Bad?: This is about as middle of the road as a schedule can get. No top-shelf opponents are assured, but on the other hand there are only three who finished last season with a RPI on the plus side of 200. One of those is Indiana, which figures to be significantly improved.
The Ugly?: Minus a win over Texas and/or to a much lesser extent Duquesne, there's not much pop here to build a NCAA Tournament resume. Jamie Dixon's squad likely will have to carve the bulk of its resume during the Big East season.
