ol' jer' is a ball coach, it's who he is, it's in his blood. he turns boys into men and football is his vehicle. ol' jer' is steadfast on loyalty. he was loyal to his staff and the student athletes under his teachings at minnesota. since leaving minnesota a few years ago, ol' jer' has been loyal to staff, admins, coaches and student athletes at kansas state, rutgers, southern illinois, virginia tech, tcu and now new mexico state. ol' jer' demands the same loyalty from his family as he does those coaches he mentors and the spouses they marry.

just don't make this whole ordeal about him though. despite doing interviews with shama, shooter, shaver and agreeing to do a dunkers event tomorrow morning, this isn't about him. he doesn't want the media and fans talking about him, this is about the boys he's impacting. this isn't about the boys he left behind at his five stops in between minnesota and new mexico state. heck, its the ad's who keeping calling him, even though he doesn't want to keep answering the phone.

doggone it, life would be a whole lot simpler if ol' jer' wasn't needed. this isn't about him, he'd never embarrass anyone like the new guy at minnesota does, no way, ol' jer' doesn't need slogans, he just builds programs brick by brick, he doesn't need to humiliate to lead he just has players wear golden loafers jerseys. no, this is about turning boys into men and football just happens to be his vehicle. the other guy at minnesota, he's different, he makes it all about him, but not ol' jer'.

Brilliant!

My reaction to all Jerry Kill threads

Don't particularly wish any poor fortune on Jerry Kill, but would like to get this game over with, with a considerable-sized Gopher victory. Say 48-6 or soemthing like that.

Nice work!!

On a side note, he said he had it made here. In reality he would have been fired by now.

This was way better than the usual ol’ jer’ crap. This was instead…funny.

GOLD

I guess people hate humor.
I guess they also love clicking on a thread about a subject they don’t want to hear about.

Odd.
Personally, I am so amped about this season, I'd click on a thread about PJ's window cleaning service hoping for info about the team/ season.

Hopefully he gets wrecked in the University of Minnesota Championship Season.

Odds he resigns before the end of September?

I’ll go with even.

In honor of Ol' Jer', did anyone stroke the post last night before they fell asleep dreaming of Gopher football?

I'm going to frame this. My kind of humor and it is on target with the sarcasim.
