As a U of M IT (now College of Science and Engineering) grad, I can agree with this. Physics was the worst. Chem was more reasonable. It was not unheard of in my sophomore-year physics classes for test averages to be under 40 out of 100. That was in the mid-90's. Maybe it's changed though?

Physics was the worst. Physics III was the one where I got an A with a total in the 50%s. To this day I guess I got about 20% on that final. We may have been in the same class

Physics was by far the hardest because 45 years later I’m still trying to figure out why I got some wrong, and worse, why I got some right!
