Thanks for posting, but one small correction - he does have 13 TDs. I’d say Weber’s single season yardage and TDs are in very serious danger. He needs 12 TDs over 8 games and has to average ~205 yards passing per game. Barring injury very achievable numbers with this offense. Weber will have to have a bottle of champagne ready.
Yep, the single season passing yardage and TD records are likely going down, barring injury. I was just thinking about how good Tanner has been in the red zone. A lot of QBs look good between the 20s, and tense up close to the goal line (Kirk Cousins, for example). Tanner seems to take it to another level. Yeah, it helps to have those receivers, but the throws still have to be accurate. If they ever decide to really open things up, he will be a touchdown machine.

OK, this one is absurd, but it is what it is.
Morgan’s yards per attempt and passer rating for the season ranks 7th all-time (dating back to 1956). Not just for the Gophers, or for the Big Ten....all of college football, over the past 63 years.

If he can maintain the same ratings and ypa through November we’ll be in a good place but in classic MN fashion I’m not convinced that’s going to happen vs a murderers row of defenses in the cold (but prove me wrong). If he ends anywhere north of 140/150 rating, 9-10 ypa on the year that implies good things and probably means we win at least another 3–4 games and possibly a lot more.
Here’s a cool chart, ranking the highest QB ratings, dating back to the 1950s. Morgan’s season ranks 8th so far, just ahead of Russell Wilson’s 2011 season. Only Baker Mayfield, Tua, and Kyler Murray have ever finished a season with a higher QB rating than Morgan’s 195.1
