The ironic thing is he was justified in being ticked off yesterday. The-refs blew the ten second call, and he was given a cheap technical for being out of the box. Collins was out of the box a minute later and wasn’t given a T. Usually refs cut coaches some slack when they miss the call. Not this time. Courtney Green isn’t a great ref and obviously has a short fuse and maybe an ego problem.

According to the way the rule is written Fran was correct. But the B1G officials go by their own rules. And of course, league office will not reprimand the officials. “Don’t you know, we wouldn’t dare, if we did anything to our game officials, all would resign and we couldn’t even have any available to play any games”. Direct quote from the B1G director of officials after being questioned concerning a PI infraction last fall. Don’t imagine any thing will change now that we finally got rid of Kevin Warren.
