Jordan Murphy is one of the best players in Gophers history and storied career, at least at Williams Arena, comes to an end Tuesday night with Senior Night.

Murphy is the program's all-time leader in rebounding (1,248) and is second all-time in Big Ten history. He also leads the Gophers all-time in double-doubles (64), free throws made (437), and free throws attempted (669). Murphy is top-10 in scoring (1,705), and with a strong finish to the season, could finish in the top-4.

Make no mistake: his Gophers career has been a memorable one. One thing he's never done is win an NCAA Tournament game, and that is on his mind. He's also thought about his legacy and the chances of one day having his jersey No. 3 retired into the rafters.

He touched on that, and more in a chat Monday with our Darren 'Doogie' Wolfson.

Murphy was originally a VCU commit, but flipped when Shaka Smart took the Texas job. He visited Boston College before checking out Minnesota, but knew that being a Gopher was meant to be.

Murphy can say he has beaten every Big Ten team at least once.
