The two most significant injuries from appearances (coach Kirk Ferentz didn't provide details on any player's health status) were Cody Ince and Justin Britt. Ince was listed as the starting right offensive tackle on the pre-Spring depth chart and Britt showed up as the No. 1 right guard.

Ince wore a boot on his left foot Saturday. Britt sat in the stands much of the day and used crutches when on his feet.

Defensive tackles Noah Shannon and Logan Jones, both of whom are on the two-deep, left Saturday's practice early. Jones' lower left leg, around his calf, was wrapped in bandages. Yahya Black, a D-tackle starter on the two-deep, and No. 2 D-Linemen Logan Lee (tackle) and Chris Reames (end), also were held out Saturday as were multi-year starters Matt Hankins (cornerback) Jack Koerner (safety) and Nico Ragaini (receiver).

Noah Fenske has transferred to Colorado. Fenske (6-4, 307) was listed as the No. 2 center on the most recent depth chart, which was released at the end of last month when spring practice kicked off. Rivals ranked him as a three-star recruiting coming out of high school.

While they start the season with lots of injuries, they always seem to find “ creatures “ for our game. Reading the write- ups, the have the best QB in the B1G, best receivers, best LbS, etc...

They'll find some more in the "hog yards". Or maybe that's their cheerleaders.

I agree that Iowa will find OLinemen. When PJ develops that group to match the Hawkeyes... the sky is the limit for this program.

Games are won at the LOS
