People are already saying it in other threads "the stars have aligned, this is the year". So might as well have its own thread to address this.

Well ... it is! This is the year. Other teams are meh or downright down, while we're on the rise. Just getting to Indy is something. Then we'll see.

Of course, the thread title is also quite literal.

The West may cease to exist as a thing, after next year.

Holding all things equal hard to think this is not the year.

Of course it is very rare for everything to hold as equal from Games 5 through 12 in any given season.

I've always saw the Football Gods toying with Minnesota like Zeus and Hera throwing skeleton soldiers at Jason and his Argonauts on a god-sized chess board...

Maybe not toying with the Gophers this year...can we say "Nebraska"...

Tanner Morgan has the maturity of a Pro QB. He is fueled with LGF gas.

Please don’t tempt the football gods too much. PJ’s one game at a time approach (no looking ahead; respect each opponent) is designed to get us there.

Correct.
I can think of a few other years where if we win one more game we either win the Big Ten (before the split to divisions) or the Big Ten West. But gosh it would be nice.
