Happy Birthday to #Gophers legend Antoine Winfield Jr. Who remembers his game winning interception in OT at Fresno State?!

Both great plays, but the 2018 was really something special. It was a running back throwing it and it was a dying quail, but Winfield's recovery on the ball and ability to track it and then catch it made this one of the best defensive plays by a Gopher I've ever seen.
That and Boddy-Calhoun ripping the ball out of the Nebraska players hands. Those are two of my all-time favorite DB plays.

Winfield's greatest play as a Gopher might've been at Northwestern. They ran a vanilla zone play and the blocking was fine. But Winfield somehow tackled the back for a loss. He lined up 8 yards off the ball and was not blitzing, which means his tackle should not been possible. Never seen this before or since. I couldn't believe what I saw.
