Hey any Gophers, Goph fans, etc in LA this weekend, welcome to town.
Let's just say btw 1997-2001 I was VERY close friends with Goldy Gopher.
I lived in LA now for 6 years and I'm so pumped people are here.
If you are looking for a great bar Friday, Saturday night or Sunday, I would love to suggest "The SmithHouse Tap & Grill" http://www.smithhousela.com or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/SmithHouseLA - I'm a bartender here (but not on Saturday hahaha) and we JUST OPENED, last Wednesday. We have 120 draft beers on tap including some fantastic California brews. No Minnesota ones just yet, but I'm working on it. Unfortunately, folks like Surly don't distribute to CA. In addition we have some KICK ASS burgers. Especially "The SmithHouse" - its an outstanding burger. The menu was created by Angelo Sosa from Top Chef (if you watch that show).
