To follow are my Power 6 non-conference schedule rankings combining palatability and average ranking of non-conference opponents. I will be very surprised if the Gophers don't earn Dukie Vitale's "Cupcake City" award for worst non-conference schedule for the third consecutive season.

I'll have a column (for GopherHole) focusing on Big Ten and St. Thomas non-conference schedules in the next week or so, including predictions for each team's final non-conference record. After that I'll contribute college basketball musings throughout the season, including weekly "Field of 68" projections, culminating on Selection Sunday. I hope you can follow along.

Nice work in putting this together! I'm sure it was a chore.

So, we're dead last among P6. No surprise there but we're not alone in the conference when it comes to lower rated schedules. Looks like the B10 and B12 dominate the bottom 15 with 11 members.

I believe the college hoops preview I was reading today said the Big 12 and the Big Ten are the best two leagues this year. I do not know how many games the Big 12 plays but the Big Ten plays 20 I think we all know. And we see that Big 12 and Big 10 are at the bottom of the thing which likely means the non conference schedule means a lot less to those leagues than others I would conclude.
