This week’s Field of 68 projection has 18 new teams. From this point on I’m doing my best to make at-large selections all about the resume, so that’s why some familiar names with a good NET ranking (i.e. #30 Virginia) didn’t make the field. Also note, if a team is not ranked in the top 100 of the NET, they will not be considered for at-large selection.

The Big Ten again leads the way, this time with a season high 11 bids. Michigan State is hanging on as one of the “last 4 in”, and, yes, I still have Northwestern in the field (ahead of Sparty) despite a 3-game losing skid. For the record, I don't think the Big Ten ends up with 11 bids (someone has to lose games), but I certainly think 9 or 10 bids will be in play come Selection Sunday.

An * denotes the leader in a multiple-bid conference or -- in the event of a standings tie -- the team with the best NET ranking (noted in parentheses).
