Michigan State 27, Minnesota 9: At some point, you stop expecting the Spartans to play close games — they’ve won every Big Ten contest by 12 points or more. It’s fair to wonder whether MSU’s players can be fully focused with Ohio State looming in the Big Ten championship game. But this is senior day for a team on a respect mission that believes in its process.

Michigan State 24, Minnesota 6: The Spartans hope to impress the Orange Bowl officials in attendance. Winning the game isn't enough. They also must show that they can draw an excellent crowd despite the relative insignificance of the game's outcome, coupled with students being away from campus for the holiday weekend.
