Interesting choice considering his options.
Santa Clara looks like it would be a fun place to go to college and play ball. In the Bay Area and Silicon Valley, basketball team is a big deal, and a coaching staff with ties to our local area.

I don't know if we ever officially offered, but I know we were expected to soon anyway. I know this was mentioned in the McCabe thread as well, but it doesn't seem like a big loss at the moment. He still would have been a nice fallback option if we can't get some of the bigger targets we are after though. Regardless, a good get for Santa Clara.
