This will keep updating as the computers spit out their results today:

But as of now...

Oscar has us tied for #4 with Michigan (although this system has James Madison at 6th)
Massey has us at #6
Congrove has us at #9
Sagarin has us at #10

It says Donchess has us at #34, but if you click into it they have us at #22. So will be interesting to see tomorrow. But consensus is fringe top 10...

Adding one to this:

SP+ has the Gophers #7 overall (up from 16th).

Has the Gophers offense as 40th best in the country (likely still getting dragged down by last year), and the Gophers defense as 3rd best in the country.

For context, they peaked at #13ish in 2019. Vegas should be super high on this team going forward.

Gophers also got a couple nice shoutouts in Connelly's column. They are the only Top 10 SP+ team that wasn't also in the Top 10 at the beginning of the season.

----

Implication for the rest of the season is that the Gophers are now favored in every game remaining on the schedule except PSU (PICKEM). SP+ has O/U on wins at 10.5

Jaw-dropping. Astounding.

Read the above, and then ponder just how far this program has come. It is simply amazing.

SP+ changes a lot early on in the season....huh?

There's not a single team on the schedule that the Gophers should be more than a touchdown dog to. In fact.....outside of Penn State......and maybe Michigan State.....the Gophers may very well be favored in every other game.

SP+ implied lines for the rest of the Gopher schedule:
Colorado -27.3
@Michigan St. +5.0
Purdue -5.8
Illinois -9.8
@Penn St. +5.0
Rutgers -17.8
@Nebraska -1.3
Northwestern -19.7
Iowa -5.5
@Wisconsin +10.0

Three games that they won't be favored in, all on the road.

Worth nothing that the Gophers could be a touchdown favorite over the rest of their schedule and the odds of going 12-0 would be ~3%. It is _very_ hard to go undefeated.

Penn State #9 in Sagarin is setting up for a huge game

The Gophers moved up 10 places in the Sagarin rankings. Somebody thought MSU was an okay team.
