I really think we are on our way to minor league football where the players--unlike in baseball--will self-direct their futures to a greater extent. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, we simply have no limitations on how many times players can enter the portal. Several items will need to be determined, most notably how many years a player can play at the college level, but I think we are really going to see upheaval over the next decade.
