Now I know he is not a real candidate at this time nor should he be but Glenn Caruso at St. Thomas is someone who has the potential to be a great coach. His lack of experience right now is the biggest problem. Being a UST alum I hope he retires there but he seems to be someone that wants to keep moving up. His resume so far.

Starting Center at Ithaca College
1996-1997 - Graduate Assistant at Ithaca College
1997-2002 - Offensive Assistant at North Dakota State University
2002-2003 - Offensive Coordinator at NDSU
2003-2004 - Offensive Coordinator/O-Line coach at UW-Eau Claire
2004-2005 - Offensive Coordinator at South Dakota (offense set 117 school records)
2006-2008 - Head Coach Macalaster (inherited just 26 players and a team that had gone 2-25 the last three years, 2-7 1st year, 4-5 2nd)
2008-present - Head Coach St. Thomas (inherited 2-8 team that went 7-3 his first year, 11-2 second year including 2-1 in the playoffs, currently 10-0 in his third year ranked #4 in the country)

Again he seems like someone that has a ton of potential to be a great coach at the age of 36. What does he have to do over the next 10 years or so to become a BCS coach?
