Calling timeouts at the end of the game

Why do we even do it? It seems that the inbound play is always one on one and let's chuck it up with no time left. Is that what Tubby really diagrams? Can't we run an actually play where 2 possible 3 players touch the ball. It's not like we had 4 seconds to inbound the ball and shoot. If these are the plays we are scripting, why not have Devoe dribble down, not call time out, drive to the hope and hit a j to win the game (with a foul possibly being called).

Enough with these timeouts to set up a one on one.
