It's clear the older kids on the team are not responding to Kill. They liked Brewster. No discipline, no accountability, and losing apparently are what they like.
Watching the game today, three things were evident.
1. Maturi should be fired for how far back this team has gone since he correctly fired Mason.
2. The offense isn't buying into Kill and that goes on to the sr. leaders of the offense to get them on board.
3. The younger players getting a lot of reps right now will is going to pay off later in two ways: one they'll be experienced when they should really be starting, two they'll deliver the message to the kids coming into the program that performance and attitude will get you on the field over what should be talent.
The results are ugly, but fixing Maturi's mistake isn't going to happen overnight. If Kill can't do it, the ONLY thing that matters is that Maturi is NOT in position to screw us further in two years.
