Saturday Tradition:

Starting Thursday, a number of B1G players will hear their name called during the 2021 NFL Draft. The former college stars will begin their journey at the professional level with a chance to fulfill their lifelong dreams.

As is always the case, some schools will have a lot more players selected over the three-day event.

Just a few days before the 2021 NFL Draft is set to get underway, FOX Sports released a graphic of the number of selections all 14 B1G programs have produced over the last five years — dating back to the 2016 NFL Draft.


Leading the way is Ohio State, which has produced over 40 selections in the past five seasons. The next closest is Michigan, which is at just more than 30. The two lowest are Illinois and Purdue, both having five picks during that window.

Here’s a complete look at all 14 B1G teams and the number of selections each has produced in the past five seasons:

Looks pretty close to the average standings during that period. Maryland and Michigan a little underperforming and Northwestern over performing. Wildcats look to have 2 first rounders this weekend

I'll be curious to see how this improves for the U next year with what seems like a million offensive lineman and some elderly gentlemen on the defensive line eligible. Would like the next step to get to 12-15 in a couple years. Then, "Infinity and beyond!"

Was just going to post this. People joke on here about "draftable seniors," but NFL talent almost always equals more wins. Minnesota is middle of the pack overall, but their "bonanza" draft year in 2019 - 2020 produced the best season in modern program history.
