B1G-ACC

Both Michigan teams getting schooled. B1G not the elite conference in basketball this season.

top of ACC loaded, middle and bottom pretty bad. Still think Purdue will beat UVA and that the big sits great in the challenge. Louisville hired a tremendous coach and can win it all. OSU and IU hired great and they are building something special.

Louisville's defense was crazy to watch.

IU hasn't beaten anyone (and I include FSU). Louisville will be number one for about...a week. ACC>>>>B1G this year.

FSU has wins at Florida, over Purdue ad over Tennessee. Difference of opinion, no big deal so I think IU winning like that's pretty strong. Never said how Louisville would bet ranked number one. Only that they are really well coached and a real threat to win it all.

Got it. Beating three power-5 teams early in the season and being ranked #17 in the country means that you're terrible. Good to know.

I really do wonder if some of you even watch college basketball...

MSU always struggles early on. They play tough schedules. I wouldn't worry too much about them. Izzo will have them ready to roll for the tournament. That said, it does look like the ACC will be a little better than the Big Ten this season.

IU has played a horrific NC schedule. Beating FSU at home is not that big a deal.

Sconny looking like they could be vying with Minnesota for an NIT bid.
Overall the B1G looking like the deeper conference, but ACC has two fantastic teams in Louisville and Puke.
Penn State may be the sneaky good team in the B1G this season.

Penn State isn't sneaking up on me. I thought they would good this season ever since last season. They should be undefeated. They had a big lead against Mississippi and let it slip away.

As far as Wisconsin competing with us for the NIT, neither team is in the NIT yet and either team could fail to make even that tournament. Pitino has failed to make any post-season tournament in three of his prior six years and he certainly could do that again. We probably would need at least 18 wins to get an NIT invite and with a 6-4 non-conference record (at best), that's not going to be easy to do.

Looks like the Big Ten is taking this one eight games to six.

Please tell me TV Teddy will not be doing B1G conference games. Lie to me if you have to.

Loved seeing Davison getting booed relentlessly tonight at NC State. They did not forget Flopgate from last year.

What are you talking about? Are we counting The Horizon and the Ivy League P5 now? IU has a quality win over FSU and that's it.

They were saying FSU isn't nothing because they have beat 3 power 5 teams already and are ranked as high as 17. So IU beating them is something.

I see, so IU is beating P5 teams by proxy. Nice.
Not saying they are a bad team by any stretch, but please play someone.

The tide sure changed on these games. The first decade this was played the ACC won all 10 of 'em. For the past 10 years they've only won 2 of them (and tied 3).

It's worth noting that the ACC always leaves out a program that is predicted to be one of the worst teams in their league for the upcoming season. The Big Ten has to play all teams and can't leave out anyone. Obviously ESPN wants the best teams playing for TV purposes, but that's absolutely an advantage most years.

Interesting that since 2009, the series is exactly tied 71-71.

Personally, I hate that the matchups are determined by television (ESPN). Seems that far too often they give Indiana or Michigan difficult games that they have zero chance to win but want the ratings.
