Well- this is the 4th impeachment attempt on Trump by the loser Dems:

#1 - They attempted to impeach him in December of 2017 for dissing the NFL kneelers (not dissing China- dissing kneelers who hate America)- that got 55 Dem votes
#2 -They then tried to impeach him in January 2018 for saying S.H. countries - that one got 66 votes
#3 -Then in July of 2019 they voted to impeach him for "insulting the Squad" (racism)- that high crime was a big hit as it got 95 Dems

Of course all along they were laying in the weeds to impeach him following the Mueller report which would show RUSSIAN COLLUSION!! and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE!! but then Mueller didn't conclude any of that so.... Now we have the UKRAINE PHONE CALL!!

#941, #984, #988 are the correct answer.

You ignore them because they destroy this schlocky troll narrative that amuses you.
I'm not ignoring them. If cruze wants the dems to with hold voting, then I'm all 100% for Trump ignoring their requests until they make it official. He's not obstructing anything because technically the Dems in the house aren't doing anything.

You do know that the Dems can subpoena documents and witnesses for any reason, right?

You can pretend it’s not official all you want. You’re still wrong, and we can choose to ignore you.

How about the betrayal by the house dems? It's very easy they could just vote and push all their chips in, make Trump call the bluff. Why aren't they doing it? If this is so blatantly impeachable why don't they do it?
Because the GOP is going to kill the impeachment within 24 hours after it arrives in the U.S. Senate where there is supposed to be a trial with presentation of evidence and cross-examination of witnesses by both parties. Since McConnell will not let that happen the Democrats in the House need to collect as much evidence as they can by themselves before the impeachment goes to the Senate. There is still a lot of investigation and questioning of witnesses that has to be done before the Republicans are allowed do everything they can think of to obstruct the impeachment process from moving forward.

U.S. Senate: Impeachment Trial

The proceedings unfold in the form of a trial, with each side having the right to call witnesses and perform cross-examinations. The House members, who are given the collective title of managers during the course of the trial, present the prosecution case, and the impeached official has the right to mount a defense with his or her own attorneys as well. Senators must also take an oath or affirmation that they will perform their duties honestly and with due diligence. After hearing the charges, the Senate usually deliberates in private. The Constitution requires a two-thirds super majority to convict a person being impeached.[24] The Senate enters judgment on its decision, whether that be to convict or acquit, and a copy of the judgment is filed with the Secretary of State.[18] Upon conviction in the Senate, the official is automatically removed from office and may also be barred from holding future office. The trial is not an actual criminal proceeding and more closely resembles a civil service termination appeal in terms of the contemplated deprivation. Therefore, the removed official may still be liable to criminal prosecution under a subsequent criminal proceeding. The President may not grant a pardon in the impeachment case, but may in any resulting Federal criminal case

Ah, now there's "supposed to be a trial". There are procedures suddenly. And we just KNOW those awful Republicans won't follow precedents. But we don't have to because we're better than you.

The House can do whatever it wants, but the Senate is bound to do what we want. and we can just predict what they'll do, and then break our own rules because of it.

So you are already complaining about the senate maybe not following procedure all while the dems in the house aren't following procedure? They can still vote to make the inquiry official and then investigate. If they do that and Trump still doesn't comply then my sentiments will change. But something tells me Trump is excited for the Dems to call his bluff.

There are no rules. This is a political process Cruzy. It's all political- no rules for anyone. So, if there are no rules, the Exec branch can blow the House off and the Senate can hold a vote day one and be done with it. This is the route the Dems chose. Let's call it the no rules, political option. Or maybe, in the Senate it should only be allow for Trump to offer a defense (starting with reading the transcript on national television), no floor time for the Dems. No rules.

Normal rules have never applied to Mitch McConnell. Demorats will NEVER forget how he delayed filling a Supreme Court seat for over a year to prevent Obama from filling it. This is a political process because McConnell has promised to make it one. He is going to kill the impeachment as soon as he and his toadies in the the Senate get their hands on it. Pelosi is just playing by his rules like everyone else has had to do for the last 8-10 years. Get over it.

Mitch McConnell: Impeachment will fail with me as Senate majority leader

“I would have no choice but to take it up,” the Kentucky Republican told CNBC. “How long you are on it is a different matter, but I would have no choice but to take it up based on a Senate rule on impeachment.”

Even CNN may now be mildly waking up. But investigating this is impeachable! What about our national security! Our Democracy is under attack! Slurp Slurp Howie.
They know Biden is toast. This is the perfect opportunity for them to buff up their role as a down the middle news organization by being critical of Biden. :) They can still root for the orangeman bad to be impeached.

It's not only Mitch McConnell saying it. The GOP isn't going to give the Democrats the time of day in the Senate. So Pelosi isn't going to give them sh*t in the House. There is zero doubt that Mitch secretly admires the approach she is taking. It's almost like she learned it from him.

Senate Republicans Say They Would Kill Trump Impeachment Charges Instantly

Some supporters of impeachment proceedings against the president may well be imagining a dramatic, extended Senate trial dramatizing his thuggish and arguably criminal behavior in the brightest of spotlights just before the electorate passes judgment on his reelection bid. Even if he’s not removed from office via a conviction, they figure, the trial will be decisive in the court of public opinion.

Senate Republicans are making it clear that scenario isn’t happening, as The Hill reports: GOP senators say that if the House passes articles of impeachment against President Trump they will quickly quash them in the Senate, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has broad authority to set the parameters of a trial. While McConnell is required to act on articles of impeachment, which require 67 votes — or a two-thirds majority — to convict the president, he and his Republican colleagues have the power to set the rules and ensure the briefest of trials. “I think it would be disposed of very quickly,” said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

It's a sham. Therefore it would be disposed of quickly. The Dems have had the House for nearly a year and have done nothing but try to undo the 2016 election. This latest attempt- the 4th time they have run impeachment up the flag- is just as big of a farce as the other 3. The Dems are wasting their time. What they should do is put forward an agenda and show the country what they would get if the Dems were in full control. Oh wait...that would hurt them, because the agenda stinks. Sorry, I now see their problem after thinking it through out loud.

Maybe by the time they decide to "make it official" this number will be 75%

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

+9 from July
So it turns out that this poll sampled Dems 48-34 or +14. The generic ballot is Dems +6 - so this is an 8 point oversample of Ds. Nevermind the twitter source- I don't trust them except that they posted the actual demographics from the poll - that's real factual information.
