MINNEAPOLIS -- There are more famous wide receivers in college football than Minnesota's Eric Decker. There are faster ones and flashier ones.

But after Saturday's game against Cal, it'd be hard to believe there's a tougher one.

Only a handful of receivers could take the hit Decker absorbed from Cal safety Sean Cattouse in the second quarter and hold onto the ball for a touchdown. Even fewer would return to the game.

Minnesota WR Eric Decker -- I rarely give stickers to players on losing teams, but Decker blew me away with his play against Cal. The guy takes a vicious hit in the end zone, manages to hang on for a touchdown, gets four to five stitches in his chin and doesn't miss a single play. Decker had eight receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and he accounted for Minnesota's other score with a pass to MarQueis Gray. He cemented himself as the greatest receiver in team history by breaking Ron Johnson's team receptions record.

All of us in Minnesota know all of this about him, but it's good to see people outside of the program recognizing his ability and toughness.
