I just got back from watching Rogers beat Mahtomedi 45-28.
This was the first time I've seen Tommy Olson play and he was very impressive, several times he blew back the DT Waters from Rogers who is a very good player, although Waters did have 1 sack and a couple of hurries. (Disclaimer, I don't think he was matched up one on one vs. Olson on those plays). Looked like Waters had a slight limp toward the end of the game but he stayed in there on both offense and defense, tough kid.
One thing that I was surprised at is Olson wasn't as tall as I expected, he appeared to be the second biggest (tallest) OL on his team but he is stout, strong and nasty...excited to see him play for the Gophs.
Anybody else have scouting reports?
Didn't stay to watch Westerhaus/ Holy Family which was the game that followed, how did he look if anyone saw that game...or any other potential MN recruits?
