I prefer anonymity but in broad strokes:

Age: 45

Gender: M

Minnesotan: you bet

Current locale: Southern California

Gopher Fan since: casual since 1985 (recall Foggie et al and the bowl games), increased interest 2002, increasingly rabid since 2005

STH: no

Attend at least one game per year: family and professional obligations prevent it but I’ll see you at the Rose Bowl

Schooling: BS, Doctorate/professional

GOPHERHOLE

What do you like: current events, quick links, sports trivia, analysis, game thread and post-game meltdown or celebration threads, Gopher4life getting banned, juvenile humor

Favorite posters: Spoof, SON, Slab, Face the Facts, Curbevall Jesus, jeshurun, Woodbury Tim, Bob Loblaw, schnauzer, STPgopher, EG9, Bleedgopher, Daniel House, PMwinSTP, NSmike, Word, gophers7nattitlesbadgers0, MNVCGUY, Hungan1, Pitinofan, Die Hard Gopher, GophersinIowa, Swingman and many, many others, some that no longer post like Goldenshowers, Detlef, Archibald Throckmorton III. I much appreciate all your opinions because those make me question mine.

Changes: up/down vote

PLAYER OPINIONS

All time favorite: too many...gameplay I suppose BBC. Maybe Cashman. Loved to watch them play. Maybe Maxx on offense. Mitch for his character and heart. Maroney. Cobb. Darrell Thompson.

Best defense: IME 2013-2016 with all the future pros, but I’ll defer to opinions on 1999 as I wasn’t really watching much at the time.

Head coach: Mase, PJ making a run

Most athletic: Cashman the walk on phenom.

GOPHERHOLE WEBSITE:

What do you like about GopherHole? I like the compilation of info on the Gophers, others' insights and thoughts. I don't encounter alot of serious Gopher fans, and it's nice to share in the joy and sorrow that is Gopher football with other like-minded people.

What changes you’d like so see: a like/dislike button would be nice. I'd like a place to look back on players from when they were recruited or signed. Other than the ratings that I think we have, what was the scoop on the player, an interesting tidbit like Bateman getting a tattoo before signing, or Tanner committing without visiting (those are easy examples).

FUN QUESTIONS RELATED TO PLAYERS, COACHES YOU WATCHED SINCE YOU STARTED FOLLOWING GOPHER FOOTBALL

All-Time Favorite Player: Too many, but Chip Lohmiller, BBC and Cedric Thompson stand out. John Mayasich - ahead of his time and an incredibly classy gentleman.

Best Gopher Defense: Claeys/Sawvel years

Best Gopher Offense: I'm liking the potential of this year, but otherwise Barber/Maroney years

Best Gopher Head Coach: TBD

Most Athletic Gopher: Bateman is making a case.

Minnesota Native: No-from Indianapolis

Current Address/Locale: Eden Prairie

Gopher Fan Since: 1974. First game was a 34-19 loss to the Buckeyes at Memorial Stadium. It was better than the final score. After getting booed at the end of the third quarter, the Gophers scored 16 points in about four minutes pulling within 28-19 before the Buckeyes Cornelius Greene on third and five went 57 yards for a TD. It prepared me for future third down defensive failures.

For the game, Rick Upchurch had 107 yards rushing (1 TD), 50 yards receiving, 45 yards passing, 33 yards returning kick offs and 6 yards on punt returns. OSU’s Archie Griffin ran for 133 (yawn).
