B1G single-plays announced (rating conferences skeds)

Gophers won't play @ Ohio State or Purdue. Like the fact Minnesota fans will get another look at Sullinger and Hummel. Hopefully Hummel has a better experience at The Barn this time around. ... but in a losing effort.

Michigan and Penn State are the two teams who won't visit Williams Arena.

At first glance I think the Gophers and Iowa received the "easiest" (subjective, of course) schedules. They're the only teams with 3 single-plays vs. teams I'd generally expect to finish in the top 5. ... Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State & Purdue. The Gophers get a huge break not having to go to Columbus or West Lafayette, and one of their single-play road games should be as close to an automatic road "W" (Penn State) as there'll be in the B1G in 2011-12.

Using last year's RPI as the measuring tool -- not a perfect tool I realize (i.e. Penn State finished #39 last year and likely will finish nowhere near that in 2011-12) -- here's how the B1G's conference slates measure up from most difficult to easiest. The average RPI of conference opponents is listed in parentheses.

1. Indiana (60)
2. Illinois (63.722)
3. Nebraska (65.722)
4. Iowa (65.944)
5. Northwestern (66)
6. Michigan (68.055)
7. Michigan State (69.722)
8. Wisconsin (73.833)
9. Ohio State (76.611)
10. GOPHERS (79.388)
11. Penn State (80.333)
12. Purdue (82.666)

My Current Projected Order of Finish
1. Ohio State
2. Wisconsin
3. Michigan
4. Michigan State
5. Purdue
6. GOPHERS
7. Illinois
8. Indiana
9. Northwestern
10. Iowa
11. Nebraska
12. Penn State
