As a Gopher fan, you couldn't help but love Eslinger. He had a great approach, was extremely underrated athletically, and was pretty close to flawless in his technique. He and Mark Setterstrom blocked for two pretty darn good running backs while he was here. Plus, he was tough as nails. Just a great all-around lineman. He certainly ranks amongst my favorite Gopher football players of all time.
