Pick per Day Announcements

Starting 12/15, we'll be splitting Pick Per Day into two divisions:

• The Steady Selectors -- those who have made picks in at least 2/3rds of the available dates;
• The Laid-back Pickers -- those who have picked in less than 2/3rds of the dates.

We do this so that there's a more competitive environment for each group.

Assuming we have games every day from now until 12/15, we'll have about 42 available dates. You'll need to have picked in 28 games by that date in order to be in the Steady Selectors division. Since there's 17 games between now and 12/15, most will be able to hit that level; however, there's no disgrace to participating in the Laid-back Pickers division. And, you can move up to the Steady Selectors division over time (or drop down to the Laid-back Pickers) depending upon how frequently you pick.

A couple of other changes:


You'll need to make a pick at least once every two-three weeks. If you don't, your account will be "retired" and you'll only be able to rejoin after convincing me that you'll participate fairly regularly. The reason for this action is that there's a fair amount of overhead in maintaining the number of accounts we have and it's silly to do so for the participant who isn't really into it.)

We'll add new participants through 12/31/2009. After that date, you'll need to send me a PM and we'll talk.
