Wowwww

The not making him available part is a really bad look.

All last year he was allowed to play? Man o man, the rules are clearly different here.

Not sure how Nebraska state law works but if Hennepin county wanted to talk t a gopher football player and the university said no, they’d simply not listen

Except the U of M is located inside Hennepin county.

It sounds like in this case, he is being charged in California and they are unable to get to him.

The university doesn’t have the ability to deny any law enforcement the ability to talk to him. Nor does the university have the ability for force a football player to talk to police.
This story (tweet) doesn’t make any sense.

Any why is the news organization publishing a tweet with a picture of a girl who has been sexually exploited and is underage?

The victim actually wanted them to publish....it would give her more credibility. The publication offered to blur the photo as well. She asked to publish as is.

Neb says they knew at the cops wanted to talk to him, but they didn't know why.

Obviously seems like a low character kid.

There is precedent for a popular coach to get away with retaining an abusive boyfriend/highly rated running back: Stoops redshirted Joe Mixon after he broke his girlfriend’s jaw (and Jonny Law gave the kid gloves treatment) and subsequently rode him to the CFP. He retained and reinstated him despite viewing the following

Well that explains that then

This makes more sense. The original tweet I saw read like the police were trying to run their interviews through the University of Nebraska

So much for Frost wanting high character guys only. Guess winning trumps all.

This one definitely stinks of a cover-up of some kind on the part of Nebraska. That said, if they are able to prove that the player in question sent the video to the girl he is toast because even if he isn't charged with revenge porn he still had a video of a 15 year old having sex on his phone and he sent it to someone which is a felony according to the story.

Of course, Mixon skated despite clear video evidence of felony assault and battery... then again that was hometown law. This incident involves out of state law enforcement. But, California has become so crime-friendly and law enforcement a revolving door due to an overstressed system and hands off politicians I’m a bit surprised they’re hotly pursuing this or whether it will ever end up as an infraction with jail/prison time. What’s in the wind down there in casa Frost? Going to keep him?

"In the last forty years, incarceration has increased with rates upwards of 500% despite crime rates decreasing nationally.[15] Between the years 2001 and 2012, crime rates (both property and violent crimes) have consistently declined at a rate of 22% after already falling an additional 30% in years prior between 1991 and 2001.[16] As of 2012, there are 710 people per every 100,000 U.S. residents in the United States that are imprisoned in either local jails, state prisons, federal prisons, and privately operated facilities."

Prior problems with many recruits involve out of state law enforcement. This is the United States and violation of the law doesn’t end at the state boarders. California is not El Paso, or like El Paso was, or wait it looks like EL Paso never had a problem. I guess you shouldn’t make stuff up just to support your opinion.

Huh? In regards to Mixon he received friendly treatment/favoritism instead of prison time. My point was California SHOULDNT be as accommodating as they have no incentive to be. I’m skeptical he will eventually serve time considering the location of the crime but we’ll see.

It seems plausible too as CA police might not want to tell everyone they talk to what they're investigating and thus the University would know squat.

It would be pretty shocking for Neb to cover for that kind of crime if they knew what it was.

Meaning... California is too lenient on criminals? If that's what you're saying, do you have supporting data?

He is a U.S. citizen so they will throw will probably the book at him.

Pick up the internet and read about non violent crimes and legislation in CA. It’s not a secret where things are going, particularly in certain locales with certain voting demographics. Now the thread has totally derailed - you are welcome.

I'll ask again; do you have any data? Any specific source?
