I agree. I will be booing Wisconsin Joel though.
I never boo the players or coaches. But I do go after the jerks in front of me who never sit down.

No, they are kids. Don't boo. They work their asses off, more than most will ever know.
Kids? Why, because they're in "school"? They're adults everywhere but the mind of homer fans and delusional ADs.
They're not exactly kids. Young adults I suppose, but we do expect a heck of a lot from them. Not that I see a huge problem with booing so long as it's not excessive. It's all relative though. Notre Dame's kids should be booed every snap.Kids? Why, because they're in "school"? They're adults everywhere but the mind of homer fans and delusional ADs.

The booing is embarrassing. Some people just don't get it.
Don't boo kids? I think if you're paying full freight for tickets, you have the right to do whatever you want.
A little perspective:
The "cost of attendance" for in-state students is $23,058 per year for residents. Factor in a redshirt season and a player is getting more than $115,000 worth of education/room and board/etc. for their career.
For a nonresident player, the "cost of attendance" is $27,358 per year or almost $137,000 for a career.
It's not like these guys aren't being taken care of.
I have no problem whatsoever booing the players if they stink it up. The game at this level is a big time sport. If you don't like it, go play D3 ball.
That said, if I were a recruit, and I saw a home fan base booing and heckling the home team, I might think twice about coming here.
If another little bastard gets free groceries from Cub for kicking it through the uprights, I will boo him mercilessly.
Maturi on the other hand if I see him, he will get a piece of mind about what a fly off the handle,
fly by the seat of his phants guy he has been with football. He is a football coach he know's how difficult the Big10 conference is to win in or at least he should by now. This time he better give the next coach a chance and give him every advantage he will need to get things better.
