We don't want to "back in" to the B10 Championship game, so it is better to take care of business and finish things right. That said, playing Iowa goes beyond just being a B10 game. It's rivalry time and anything will go at Iowa City !!

If we're as good as we hope we are, we win this game.
Yes, Iowa is a very tough opponent, especially at Kinnick.
But (hopefully) we have raised our own aspirations above the level of being 'almost good enough'. We have put ourselves in position to aim much higher than that.

As it stands right now, regardless of the outcome of this game we are not really in danger of needing to back into the championship game. However, if we take care of business this weekend and next weekend the West will be over by the time Wisconsin shows up in Minneapolis in a few weeks.
But I agree that a game with Iowa goes beyond just being a regular Big Ten game. Regardless of records and standings it is always a big deal when we go up against the likes of Iowa and Wisconsin.
