***OFFICIAL 8-0 PENN STATE AT 8-0 MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

This is the day I've been waiting for since I started watching the Gophers in the 80s!

Let's. Freaking. Go.

Overhead shot in Tuscaloosa for game day. Lots of open space. Memphis last week was an amazing turnout.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those games where I pace back and forth across the living room more than I actually sit down.

Just want to say that I’m bummed that I won’t get to read this thread until later tonight because I’ll be at the game and will be watching LSU/Bama and Iowa/Wis at a bar on campus.

Alright gents, let’s get this bread! See y’all on the flip side

I feel like I did every game before I pitched, nervous like I’m going to throw up. Let’s go.

I’m out of town (really bummed about that) so I can’t be there in person. Embarrassed to say this, but I’m not sure I can take the stress and watch this live on TV. That’s how bad I want the good guys to win. Am I the only one that might have to just take sneak peaks of the score on my phone and then watch the DVR recording later? Not sure my heart could take it live either way (heart-attack with the win, broken heart with a loss).

Wildly unpopular opinion - I have O.D'ed on hype for this game. I'm sick of hearing about the game. No more hype.

Just play the freakin' game.

Oh, and by the way - there is another game next week.

Next week's game is: A road game. A rivalry game. A trophy game. And a game that will help decide the winner of the West division.

The Iowa game - in many ways - is more important than the Penn State Game in deciding how the Gophers' season will turn out.

Look, I know today is a big deal. but it's one game out of 12 in the regular season. if you told me the Gophers could only win 1 of the next 2 games, I choose to beat Iowa. Every stinkin' time.

I agree with much of this - today does not define our season. I want to show that we can play with Penn but more importantly I want to work the West. I believe we can win today. Let’s go!!

In a hockey clinic until 3:30. What do you think the odds are I can watch it on DVR @ 4 without someone telling me the score, if they win.

Yep, helping with a church event today, and hoping against hope no one ruins it for me. I don't live in MN so there's a decent chance.

Can’t remember the last time I cried. Today has potential for tears.

I get the significance of this game and it deserves the attention it is getting but I am a little disappointed there wasn't this much local attention for homecoming much less other games. You see everyone hyped up on the pregame show and where was that for homecoming?. This type of thing needs to be a regular occurrence.

Woke up feeling dangerous. And Golden.

I have watched almost every Gopher game later in the day this season...So everything was far less stressful when I could just skip right to the next play.

Now that I'm conditioned, I dunno if I can watch this game live...Even though I really want to.

Anyone watching GameDay? Why does Iowa have color in the rankings list and the rest are black and white???

Stupids.

1970' U of M alum working the 4am to noon shift here in Las Vegas. Without explanation, I just told my boss I had to leave for the day. She said ok, and as I was leaving, she said to me, "Go Gophers!" They all know that if I were to get a cut, Maroon and Gold would flow from my veins.
GO GOPHERS!

Most of the pressure is on PSU. If they lose they’re probably out of the CFP race, the East race, and the Big Ten race. If the guys can frustrate them I can see things snowballing. Iowa beat themselves in Iowa City. Bad game plan, turnovers, mistakes. The tone of this thing will be set early on. Is PSU taking MN too lightly? I want to see defensive energy. I want to see some big hits on their QB early on.

Even with a loss, the guys can’t get too down. Everything in terms of goals is still on the table.

I’m so damn nervous like I’ve never been for a Gophers football game. This is our time that all of us have waited so long for. Attack today, boys! Bring us that program-changing win at home.

On my local ABC affiliate they're currently showing a children's nature documentary about albatrosses. Kind of funny, three minutes before scheduled game time.

Running to the head just now

Looks like the fans showed up in full force from the KSTP pregame show.

This pregame coverage is getting me hyped. Crowd looks great, it’s been a long time coming to have this kind of excitement and support in TCF Bank Stadium. Go Gophers!

This game is like going to the casino, making a good run, and putting all the house money on one big bet. A loss doesn't change much in the long run, but a win...oh hell yeah!
